Festival and flower season is here! I got completely sucked into flower festivals last year (poor Sean) and we went just about everywhere. Honestly, it was the perfect excuse to get out of the house and explore the area we currently call home. There is so much to see and explore here that it can be overwhelming but when I see flower festival, say no more, SOLD.

The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival was the first one we went to last year so it’s no surprise it was first on my list this year. Except this year things looked a little different. We went at the height of the season last year and saw rows and rows of gorgeous, colorful, vibrant tulips. This year I figured we would get a jump start and go opening weekend. There was literally 6 rows of flowers in bloom, that’s it! HA, jokes on us. It was still a perfect opportunity to enjoy the gorgeous views, catch up with friends, grab some fresh squeezed lemonade while browsing local vendors & soak up the sunshine.
